I’ve spent most of my working life in service, whether that meant managing security teams, training instructors, or helping everyday people build skills that actually hold up under pressure.

My background runs through private security operations, firearms and defensive tools instruction, first aid, and adult education. I hold a Master’s degree in Adult Learning and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Administration, and I’ve built state-certified training programs used across Oregon and Washington. Over the years, I’ve led licensing compliance, mentored instructors, and supervised large teams in real operational environments.

I teach the way I learned in the field. Practical first. Clear expectations. No filler. If a skill works when stress is high, it belongs in the classroom. If it doesn’t, I revise it until it does. That approach has guided my work as a trainer, manager, and educator throughout my career.
